If you are allowing the world to shape you, if you are allowing the world to tell you what’s important and what’s not, then you will receive the reward of the world. If you let lust tell you what love is…then you will reap the results of that, Too!
Those are the ways of the world. Do not let the world fashion you according to its image! If you have His Spirit, He also wants you to have His mind, and that only happens through the reading His word. That only comes through meditating in and upon His word. A renovated mind comes about through prayer and fasting! Turn of the world’s music sometimes and just get alone with God. Turn off that rap music, and put on some godly music. Let some of those words play back in your mind instead of the other stuff which only seeks to get you to walk in lust and degradation. Stop doing those things which are not pleasing to God. Stop doing those things which do not give Him glory! If you cleave, or hold on to worldly ways, you will get worldly results. You will not get spiritual results from worldly actions. You will not get God’s blessings from worldly actions. To pursue, or to chase after the ways of the world, will only result in disappointment, disgust, despair and possible death. The world doesn’t love you! People trying to bed you…don’t love you, and this “love” is temporary… at best! They will like you and leave you, because they can’t possibly love you. True love only comes about through a relationship with Christ. If you abstain….from the ways of the world, you will not bear the results. Let me say that another way, if you abstain from sex…it is impossible to bare children. Teenage pregnancy is at an all time high …..And since teenage marriage is not, that should tell you that we have teenage girls becoming single parents. In the process, making grandparents the care givers, or putting the child into the social services system. A system the young mother might be in or from themselves.
Sacrifice your life to God. Is that not the reasonable thing to do since He died for you??? Is that not the reasonable thing to do since He bore our sins on the cross??? Is that not the reasonable thing to do, since He lived and suffered that we might have a full life?? Is that not the reasonable thing to do…since the only reason why we are breathing today is because of His mercy and His grace?? Present your bodies a living sacrifice, Holy and acceptable……is that not reasonable?? The only reason why we even have food on our tables, a roof over our heads, and a place to lay our heads….is all due to Him!! The Lord says…He wants us to get to know Him…..He wants us to prove Him and prove that all He says is true and good!!
You know what they say…garbage in…… garbage out. What I say is … “as negative actions will always produce negative results, so, also, will worldly thoughts and worldly ways of thinking produce worldly results”! The Lord is never pleased with a worldly mind set, and even more unpleased with worldly actions, but you can’t have one without the other! The word of God can transform you……the word of God can comfort you…..the word of God will show you what God wants for your life…..the word of God will show you what God doesn’t want for your life….the Word of God will renew you…the word of God will strengthen you….the word of God will give you hope…..the word of God will give you peace…..And I want you to know that Jesus….is the word of God….let Him transform your thinking from bad to good…He sacrificed Himself for you…to bring you into a right relationship with the Father……He sacrifice himself for you….to bring you joy…..He sacrificed Himself for you…..to show you what love really is about…..He sacrificed Himself to restore you…He sacrificed Himself to renew you. Do you love Him because of what He has done for you? The Lord says if you love Him you will keep His ways! Will you become a living sacrifice for him? Will you keep yourself pure for Him? God is good…He won’t love you and leave you. He has been good to you, and I know that He has been good to me.
Do you see all that He has done for your life? Will you live a God-ly life for Him? You can’t live a God-ly life for me…..you can’t live a God-ly life for anyone else. You have to live a God-ly life for all that Christ has done for you! Will you make that commitment today? A commitment to do all that you can for the Lord? Young people…you are never to young to do what’s right in the Lord. If you say that you believe in Christ…if you say that you love the Lord and all that he has done for you…than you owe it to the Lord…and to yourself…to walk in His ways. Don’t be so quick to fly off the handle…don’t be so quick to cuss…or to cuss someone out….don’t be so quick to be rude…….don’t be so quick to hate your teachers……don’t be so quick to disrespect your parents……because Christ loves you, gave himself for you…..and he wants you to have His best.
In this last day, the longer we put off getting our lives right with Jesus the harder it will be. It’s almost like being in a boat, going out toward open sea. The further out you go, the harder it is to spot the shore, until you can’t see it any longer. Sin will drag you out into open waters. The longer you stay in sin, the harder it will be to see the Promised Land, and soon…you will forget what it looked like altogether. You will be like Moses, only able to look at the Promised Land from a distance, While Neither He nor that generation making it in. Will you be in the generation that doesn’t make it in?If you continue to conform to the ways of the world, you will not make it into the kingdom, because the kingdom is not a priority for you, the world is! You may make it big in the world, but you won’t step foot in the Promised Land, which is heaven (or the new earth). This holds especially true if you are in ministry. You may be so busy doing ministry, and church “work”, that you forget about including the Lord in it. The Lord ceases to be your top priority, church work is. This hold especially true for the mega churches. The ways of the world have kicked the doors of the Church open. There use to be a time when the world used to creep and sneak in, but not any longer! In this time, sin is very, very alluring. If you are not living a committed life to Christ, not only will you not have the strength not to stand against sin and the devil, but you would have no reason to! You are not committed, so why would you want to resist the devil and have him flee? You are too busy resisting God, pushing further and further away from His shores.
