Is the Bible really your standard for holy living, or do you utilize some other thing?
Perhaps it is a "christian" book, or a "person of God", that you give greater weight to, than the Word of God? I am
truly interested in receiving some input from folk. Particularly, those
who feel that to have a knowledge of Christ, the Father and His word
equates with salvation. My question is simply this:
What does it take to be truly saved?
Is
it based on just believing, reading His word, doing missionary work?
Do we just accept ourselves the way we are, regardless of our sinful
nature, and who we may hurt because of our sinful ways? Do we justify
our sinful ways (sin as according to scripture) by claiming “This is
who I am and I need to embrace it!” Is this type of stance and
posturing to be found in our Bibles?? Was this the attitudes of the
early disciples and the early Church? The Lord said, If you love me, keep my commandments. - Joh 14:15
His
commands are those things that have been set down in our bible by the
apostles, as the Holy Spirit gave them unction to write and to speak.
I am appalled at the implications of this type of “Christianity”, that justifies sin as the norm.
It is a fearful time to be a true believer. Everything else, Christian or not, seems to revolt directly against all that the Bible implies, all that Jesus the Christ said, thereby, revolting against God almighty!
PLEASE, read these next bible verses carefully and prayerfully.
2Th 2:3 Let not anyone deceive you by any means. For that Day shall not come unless there first comes a falling away, and the man of sin shall be revealed, the son of perdition,
1Ti 4:1- 5 But the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and teachings of demons,
2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, being seared in their own conscience, 3 forbidding to marry, saying to abstain from foods which God has created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 4 For every creation of God is good, and nothing to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving. 5 For it is sanctified through the Word of God and prayer
2Ti 3:1-7 Know this also, that in the last days grievous times will be at hand. 2 For men will be self-lovers, money-lovers, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 without natural affection, unyielding, false accusers, without self-control, savage, despisers of good, 4 traitors, reckless, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness, but denying the power of it; even turn away from these. 6 For of these are those who creep into houses and lead captive silly women loaded with sins, led away with different kinds of lusts, 7 ever learning and never able to come to the full knowledge of the truth.
2Ti 4:3-4 For a time will be when they will not endure sound doctrine, but they will heap up teachers to themselves according to their own lusts, tickling the ear. 4 And they will turn away their ears from the truth and will be turned to myths.
Mat 24:11-13 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Now, If you are a follower of Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior, and the bible is the infallible word of God, shouldn’t you take heed to these scriptures and run from everything and all things that fit into these categories?
The Bible does not say that sin is ok, if it is part of who you are. The Word says that sin is separation from God. Shouldn’t we struggle with all of our might, against separation from our heavenly father? Shouldn’t we give our all to stand in holiness and for holiness?
I know some may have a problem with the word “struggle” and that is fine. Have a problem with the word, but don’t let that little word, be a reason for surrendering to sin.
This “Christian” group (known before as The Children Of God) is actually a cult. They say all of the right things and say that they believe in the things that would “equate” salvation. Here is their web site:

You see, here is the first problem. They do not believe that you can ever loose your salvation. In the section "our beliefs" and under the section "The way of Salvation" article "e", they say this;
"Once saved, the believer shall be kept saved forever." , and "Although we firmly believe that the soul which God has saved and granted His free gift of eternal life can never be lost, this is not a licence for sin to the believer. Because God is a holy and righteous Father Who cannot overlook the sins of His children, if they persistently sin, He will chasten and correct them. 'For whom the Lord loveth, He chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom He receiveth... for what son is he whom the Father chasteneth not?' [Hebrews 12:6,7]"
It is simply amazing, how we can quote scripture to justify our short comings. Though they do say it is not a license for immoralty, believing that you cannot loose your salvation most assuredly is just that!!
Scripture also says;
Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
(once again, I implore you to read all of the preceeding verses.)
And also:
Eph 5:5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

The second problem, is that this group of "believers" believe in free sex with one another, which use to extend to children as well. They say that they stopped the practice of sex with children sometime in the late 80’s.

How much sin and confusion has to be a part of your life, to let you justify you and/or your child being sexually abused as part of your spiritual growth, all in the name of Jesus???
Yet, they are probably reading their bible everyday, praying, fellowshipping, and leading people to the Lord via the sinners prayer!! Never allowing the Lord to truly convict them themselves, of their own sins!!
Will they enter heaven, not having truly repented( to be sorrowful to the point of completely turning from) of this heinous sin, because they know and believe in the Lordship of Christ??
It is so very easy to fall into sin, when all you believe will happen if you fall into a lifestyle of sin, is that you will be "corrected".
I site this group only as an example to my point, and not as the whole. There are countless others who justify the sin in their hearts and their lives.
We are all sinners, some saved by grace.
(Whoever disagrees with our still being sinners read this: 1Co 10:11-12 And all these things happened to them as examples; and it is written for our warning on whom the ends of the world have come. 12 So let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall)
The struggle is ever in the total surrender of our lives, to His total Lordship!!
So, my question is these people believers? They still support the founder (who is now dead) and his ways. We are also called to separate ourselves from other “believers” who refuse to give up their sinful ways.
Please, consider these things carefully! Time is drawing to an end! The longer we wait to truly commit ourselves to His ways, the harder it will become to do so. Sin is rampant, contagious, and deceitful!
God has called me to sound the alarm among Christians. We need to get our hearts right with Him, and our lives! The time for making excuses is over.
False and Lying prophets
Jer 23:9-12 My heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake. I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine has overcome, because of Jehovah, and because of the Words of His holiness. 10 For the land is full of adulterers. Yes, because of cursing the land mourns; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their power is not right. 11 For both prophet and priest are ungodly; yes, in My house I have found their evil, says Jehovah. 12 So their way shall be to them as slippery ways in the darkness; they shall be driven on, and fall in them; for I will bring evil on them, even the year of their judgment, says Jehovah.
Jer 23:25-32 I have heard what the prophets said, who prophesy lies in My name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. 26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? But they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart, 27 who plot to cause My people to forget My name by their dreams which they tell, each one to his neighbor, as their fathers have forgotten My name for Baal. 28 The prophet who has a dream, let him tell a dream. And he who has My Word, let him speak My Word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? says Jehovah. 29 Is not My Word like a fire? says Jehovah; and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces? 30 So Jehovah says, Behold, I am against the prophets who steal My Words each one from his neighbor. 31 Jehovah says, Behold, I am against the prophets who use their tongues and say, He says. 32 Jehovah says, Behold, I am against those who prophesy false dreams and tell them, and cause My people to go astray by their lies and by their lightness. Yet I did not send them nor command them; therefore they shall not profit this people at all, says Jehovah.
In this day and age, when people are setting everything and anything up as the "authority", and the bible is a "book of myths, lies and sexual biasness", can we afford to half step in our walk and our faith? People, it has to be all or nothing!!
Rev 3:15-19
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: 18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye salve, that thou mayest see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
