I know what you are thinking. People have been screaming "last days" since Christ died. This is true, but all you have to do is look around you, listen to the radio, read the newspapers, watch the t.v, and you will know something, terrible and satanic is happening physically and spiritually!
Look at all of the wars, and rumors of wars. The war in Iraq, the war in Afghanistan, the war between Iran and Iraq. Earthquakes in many places like China and Haiti! Rampant temperature changes around the world, places that use to be cold are warming up, and places that were warm are cooling down.
Look at the rampant murders, rapes and suicides, especially in our schools, and against our children!
The poor are suffering more and more, while the rich are prospering more and more.The gap between the poor and the rich grows wider and wider each day. Unemployment and Homelessness is at an all time high. Famine in remote areas of the world, as well as in our own backyard.Most can barely afford to put gas in their cars. New diseases springing up, and old ones becoming resistant to treatment. Has anyone else noticed the increasing amount of Cancer diagnosis?
Look at the state of believers in this country. We are supposed to be the light and the salt of the earth, and we are everything but that! There is as much sin(if not more) in the life of the "believer" as an unbeliever. The divorce rate among believers is higher than those who aren't!!
Why is that? And please don't say "because we are flawed humans ..."! w simply put, we love the ways of sin more than the ways of God! Sin may seem like fun in the beginning, but the fun is fleeting, and like drugs, we are alwasy searching for the next "high" or the next fun thing that will tickle our fancy. Sadly, our westernized version of Christianity is spreading further and further into the outer most reaches of the planet. When "believers" believe that we can continue in sin, and still make it into the kingdom of heaven, Satan is ecstatic!!
We prostitute and sell the gospel for a buck. We have allowed our Churches to become a marketplace. We preach a gospel that is different from the one that Jesus, and the Apostles preached, stood on and died for.
Have you Noticed the frequency to which "new" gospels are being discovered that totally contradict what we already have in our bible, and people would rather believe them? Sadly, a lot of them are Professing believers.
Matthew 24:12 says, the love of many shall wax cold, because of the evil in these days. The word translated "love" in this verse is the word "Agape" which is God's love! Jesus wasn't referring to the love that the world has to give, He was talking about believers ,Those of us who profess Christ as our Lord.
We are truly living in the last day, of the last hour.

(Contrary to one belief, that the last hour or last day that was spoken about in scripture, were at the time of the destruction of the temple in 70AD.The apostle John's epistles and the Book of Revelation were written toward the end of his life, somewhere around 95AD)

It is my sincere and deepest prayer and hope that we would stop accepting ideas as scriptural, just because it sounds good and fits fleshly and worldly views and desires! Stop accepting man's doctrine, just because it is the way you have "always believed"!
Stand in your relationship with Jesus Christ and be challenged to allow God to be your all sufficiency! You are being cheated out of a relationship with your heavenly Father! If you continue to follow these false teachers and prophets, your reward will be the same as theirs!
